Dead River Rafting

MRE has expanded over the mountains to raft the mighty Dead River. The Dead River has the most continuous class 3-4 whitewater in New England. Trip starts in the Forks, ME at a designated location where you will meet your guide and get geared up for a full day of whitewater and adventure. MRE provides transportation to the river. After about an hour drive/moose safari to the put in you will get a full safety lecture and break into groups. Then you will set sail and get in a couple warm up rapids before the first class 4 rapid. Along the way you will enjoy whitewater surfing, swimming, and breathtaking views of the North Maine Woods.

The whitewater only builds with the biggest and longest rapid at the end. The Dead River floats you right back into town from where you started where a river side steak and chicken BBQ will be waiting for you. After you eat there will be a photo and video showing of your trip to recap on the days thrills and maybe some spills.
